MATRIX is the name of the international conferences that periodically bring together both mathematics museums around the world, as well as the organizers of mathematical exhibitions, creators and communicators dedicated to the dissemination of mathematics for the general public.
The Museum of Mathematics of Catalonia (MMACA) hosted the 3rd edition of this international conference that took place from 29 to 31 October 2018 in Cornellà de Llobregat and Barcelona.
As in previous editions(Dresden 2014, Leeds 2016)the conference became a productive meeting point, generating shared projects, exhibitions and specific collaborations.
More than 120 people from 18 countries with their enthusiasm, positive spirit and knowledge contributed to the success of the conference.
We thank all participants and especially the speakers of the plenary conferences, the drivers of the conversation groups and all the volunteers.

The next MATRIX conference
The large matrix global community continues to work and grow by promoting multiple initiatives with the common goal of improving the perception and involvement of society with respect to mathematics.
We hope to be able to meet in the next editions of this congress to continue sharing and exploring new projects and paths. The next MATRIX event is scheduled to be held in Paris, where the Henri Poincarè Institute will host us during the days of the congress.
