This puzzle first appeared in 1989 under the name Slitherlink in a publication by the Japanese publisher Nikoli the creators of the popular Sudoko.
It is also known by the names Fences, Takegaki, Loop the Loop, Loopy, Ouroboros, Suriza or Dotty Dilemma.
When solving it, strategies such as:
- Start with the boxes with 0 or 4
- If there are two boxes attached with 3, there is a fence between them.

Una proposta per descarregar: El joc del camí amagat
Aquesta proposta permet treballar la mateixa idea d’aquest mòdul posteriorment a l’aula o a casa.
És un joc per parelles, cadascú fabricarà un repte per tal que el resolgui la parella.
El repte consisteix a descobrir el recorregut d’un camí tancat dibuixat sobre una quadrícula 7×7.
La primera qüestió consisteix a dibuixar-lo sense quedar-se bloquejat i no poder tancar-lo.
A continuació cal doblegar el paper per tal que les dues quadrícules quedin superposades.
Cal posar el paper doblegat sobre un vidre amb llum darrere per tal que per transparència es vegi el camí sota de la segona quadrícula.
Llavors s’escriu a cada casella de la segona quadrícula el nombre de costats d’aquest quadrat pels quals passa el camí.
Amb aquesta informació numèrica, la parella haurà de descobrir el recorregut del nostre camí.
