What does the gymkhana consist of?

We have prepared three gymkhanas to adapt to each age. In small groups students will have to look for elements of the park and answer the questions often posed with a mathematical background (counts, recognition of shapes, interpretation of maps, etc.)

Our gymkhanas

The Pirate Gymkhana

The pirate gymkhana will test the deductive, research and cooperation capabilities of the students by proposing the search for a key that will make them open the treasure chest.

The mathematical bazaar

In the Mathematical Bazaar, students will be immersed in an exchange of problems, challenges and mysterious fragments that will take them to Leonardo's enigma.

Learning objectives

With this activity we intend to promote intragroup and intergroup collaborative work. In addition, we will learn to orient ourselves using a map and the rose of the winds.

Contents

Identification of geometric shapes in the environment, approximation of measures, orientation in space, use of mathematical language in a precise way, logical and spatial mathematical reasoning, application of formulas, calculation of angles, resolution of equations, challenges of combinatorics and calculation.

Evaluation criteria

Speed of resolution of each of the tests. Autonomous organization of tasks within each team. Teamwork.
